LUTUNKU COMMUNITY POLYTECHNIC is amongst the institutions created by the government of the government of the Republic of Uganda under the Ministry of Education and Sports, Department of Business Technical Vocational Education and Training (BTVET) in 2003. It was established under the presidential pledges as part of the solution to the unemployment challenge facing the youth in Sembabule District and in line with skilling Uganda.
The polytechnic has one campus with an administration block, a computer laboratory, and two twin workshop for GDC and FPP, MVM and C&J, dormitories for male and female students, a multipurpose hall and a kitchen.

To provide quality, relevant multi-skills training so as to create a hard-working, self-reliant community which has respect for social and moral values

To play an exemplary role in training in relevant skills as per market demand to both literate and illiterate people in Sembabule District and neighboring Districts
