STAKEHOLDER’S WORKSHOP ON RETURN TO INDUSTRY SCHEME AND INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT

STAKEHOLDER’S WORKSHOP ON RETURN TO INDUSTRY SCHEME AND INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT

The government of Uganda approved the TVET Policy in 2019 to guide reforms in the TVET sector. The reforms are aimed at ensuring that the quality of skills delivered are responsive to the labor market demands.

It is against this background that the Ministry organized a one-day stakeholder’s workshop aimed at developing partnerships for enhancing Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) trainers’ exposure in the industry as well as creating partnerships for industrial attachment of trainees.

The objective of the workshop was to gather stakeholder’s views and opinions that will assist in developing policy documents for the proposed partnerships.

Several companies and industries were identified and representatives given invitations by the Technical and Educational Education and Training Operations and Management department.
